Event Planner

JOB DESCRIPTION

A client of Insight Global is seeking an Event Planner to support event programming for independent residents. This individual will plan, coordinate, promote, and facilitate events and activities, including community events, off-site outings, holiday parties, small-group activities, and cultural programming. The source role is classified as non-exempt.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate resident events, programs, clubs, and interest groups.
• Organize holiday parties and other large events, coordinating food, entertainment, decorations, setup, and room reservations.
• Schedule off-site trips and coordinate transportation.
• Develop relationships with local organizations, restaurants, museums, and other service providers.
• Promote events through calendars, email, flyers, and other approved communication channels.
• Manage event budgets, expenses, invoices, and related billing information.
• Track resident participation and satisfaction to support program improvement

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Event-planning experience in a CCRC, hotel, restaurant, or equivalent environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work days, evenings, and/or weekends as required.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Customer-service experience and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• College degree.
• Additional event-planning experience.
• Experience working with older adults.

Pay Transparency:

The expected Pay Rate for this position is $37/hour. falls between $85,000 to $95,000/year.
