Summary:
Responsible for providing guests an enjoyable and memorable experience through smooth and efficient service
Report directly to the Director of Events, Wedding and Event Coordinator and the MOD for each event.
Collaborate with colleagues both in the Front of House and Back of House
Duties and Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
Set up for events, such as arranging tables and chairs, placing tablecloths, setting up buffets, making coffee, etc.
Assist in preparing beverages, opening and pouring wine, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
Bartend event bars to include set-up and tear-down, inventory tracking, responsible sales and service practices, and compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. *mandatory training and certifications required
Take food and drink orders if required and ensure accuracy of order before delivering to table
Run food to tables, responding to any additional requests guests might have
Bus tables as needed, delivering to dish area and separating as instructed
Work collaboratively with front and back of house team to ensure smooth and efficient service
Breakdown and clean at the end of service, including tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dishes, taking down tables, putting chairs away, etc.
Respond to guest complaints or issues with a positive and constructive attitude
Additional tasks as may be required
Security; Compliance; Occupational Health & Safety
Ensure the building is properly secured if the last to leave for the evening
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, ABC regulations, VDACS, OSHA
Immediately report any injury, accident and/or foodborne illness incident for customers and/or staff accurately to Senior Management
Immediately report any deficiencies in safety to both senior management and to the maintenance staff
