Event and Game Day Operations Coordinator

Event and Game Day Operations CoordinatorAustin Peay State University invites interested applicants for the Event and Game Day Operations Coordinator position. This position will be responsible for maintaining event management standards for select sports and events taking place within the Austin Peay State University Athletics Department with the primary objective to continue improving the event experience. The position will require a strong, working knowledge and understanding of NCAA, Conference, and Institutional rules and regulations.

Temporary position 30 hours per week.Primary duties and responsibilities include creating game day and event documents, organizing and running event operations meetings, coordinating with teams, officials, and visiting teams on game-day needs, leading in set-up and striking of required gameday equipment, supervising event staff working varsity sports to ensure proper management, maintaining NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, and compliance with Austin Peay State University policies, assisting in scheduling table crew and game officials, working with the Athletic Business Office to ensure all game day staff receive payment, attending game management meetings for Football games, the United Athletic Conference Championship, and the FCS Playoff Games, and assisting game manager in assigned area. Other duties include all other duties as assigned, responsible for maintaining NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference, and Austin Peay State University rules compliance, and this position will be required to work nights and weekends and may be asked to travel.Knowledge, skills, and abilities include strong organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrated leadership skills, particularly in managing staff and volunteers, knowledge of NCAA and/or collegiate athletics regulations and policies is a plus, and ability to work nights and weekends.Physical requirements include light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.Required minimum qualifications include posting detail information, open date of 07/08/2025, close date, open until filled - no, and special instructions to applicants.Required fields are indicated with an asterisk (*).Required documents include resume and cover letter.
