Role Description The Estimator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tampa, FL. The Estimator is responsible for reviewing architectural drawings and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, and preparing detailed cost estimates for ceilings, acoustical treatments, and related construction scopes. Day-to-day activities include analyzing project requirements, requesting and reviewing vendor and subcontractor quotes, and developing competitive bids and proposals. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, field supervisors, and the leadership team to ensure accurate pricing, realistic schedules, and alignment with customer expectations. The Estimator also updates and maintains estimating databases, tracks project costs, and supports value engineering and change order processes.

Qualifications
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop detailed cost estimates.
- Proficiency with estimating or takeoff software, spreadsheets, and general computer skills relevant to construction estimating.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and pricing.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with project teams, vendors, and clients.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple bids, deadlines, and shifting priorities.
- Knowledge of commercial construction practices; experience with ceilings, acoustical systems, or interiors is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Tampa, FL, collaborate in person with team members, and occasionally visit job sites as needed.
- High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous estimating experience in construction or a related trade is strongly beneficial; willingness to learn and grow within the company.
