About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in commercial concrete and civile or water treatment work who also brings prior Project Management experience. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating project scopes, and assisting in project planning and execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and understands both the technical and operational aspects of construction projects.

Dugan and Meyers recognizes that top estimating talent may be located outside our traditional office footprint. We will consider qualified remote candidates for this role. The Estimator will collaborate with preconstruction and operations teams across multiple locations and may occasionally travel for team meetings, client presentations, site visits or project handoffs as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for sitework, concrete, and civil projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine scope and requirements.
• Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Develop budgets and value engineering options to optimize project costs.
• Transition successful bids to operations, supporting project kickoff and scheduling.
• Utilize prior project management experience to provide input on constructability, sequencing, and cost impacts.
• Track bid results and maintain relationships with clients and trade partners.

Qualifications

• 5 years commercial construction experience, BS in Construction Management or Engineering, software proficiency (Excel, Bluebeam).
• Experience with concrete, earthwork. Prior experience managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
