Estimator / Project Manager – Heavy Civil Renewable EnergyA well-established Midwest-based heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to support renewable energy projects across the region. This role focuses on civil scopes for solar, wind, and energy storage developments and offers long-term stability, strong benefits, and the opportunity to work on high-visibility infrastructure projects.Location: St. Michael, MNCompensation: $100,000 – $140,000 (salary, based on experience)Employment Type: Full-TimeKey ResponsibilitiesEstimate and manage heavy civil scopes for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage, etc.)Prepare detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for civil construction workManage project cost accounting, including:Daily/weekly cost trackingChange ordersMonthly cost projectionsProject billing and invoicingServe as the primary point of contact for clients, field staff, subcontractors, and internal teamsMaintain complete and accurate project and estimating filesAttend and lead project meetings as neededCoordinate and direct field personnelSupport and mentor junior estimators/project managers and seasonal internsAssist with client relationship management and business development effortsQualifications5+ years of experience in civil or related construction (renewable energy experience a plus)College degree preferred, but not requiredStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsProven ability to lead under demanding conditionsHighly organized with strong attention to detailSelf-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projectsPositive, dependable, and team-oriented mindsetLight regional travel requiredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceComprehensive medical, dental, life insurance, and HSA options401(k) with employer matchCompany vehicle providedPaid time offEqual Opportunity Employer
