Estimator/Project ManagerAn established heavy civil contractor is expanding its operations throughout Kentucky and is seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to help lead future growth. With decades of success delivering complex infrastructure and site development projects, this organization has earned a reputation for quality, safety, and long-term client partnerships.The company self-performs a wide range of civil construction services including mass excavation, utility installation, grading, aggregate production, and asphalt construction for large commercial, industrial, and residential developments. Backed by annual revenues exceeding $250 million, they continue to invest in both people and technology to support sustained regional growth.This unique role combines preconstruction leadership with project management responsibilities, making it ideal for a professional who enjoys both winning work and helping ensure successful project execution.The selected candidate will work closely with owners, developers, subcontractors, and company leadership to develop competitive estimates, build lasting client relationships, and provide operational support throughout the construction process.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed cost estimates for heavy civil site development projectsPerform quantity takeoffs and analyze plans, specifications, and bid documentsSolicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliersAssist in preparing project budgets, schedules, and construction plansBuild relationships with developers, owners, engineering firms, and industry partnersIdentify new business opportunities and support ongoing client development effortsMonitor project costs and assist with maintaining profitability throughout constructionCoordinate with field operations to support successful project deliveryPromote and uphold company safety standards on every projectProvide regular progress updates to executive leadershipRequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferredFive or more years of experience in estimating, project management, or a combination of both within heavy civil constructionProven experience delivering private site development projects for commercial, industrial, or residential developmentsStrong knowledge of earthwork, grading, underground utilities, aggregate production, and asphalt paving operationsExperience managing projects ranging from approximately $20 million to $250 millionFamiliarity with Kentucky construction markets, particularly along the I-65 corridor, is advantageousExperience using AGTEK, Bluebeam, and Microsoft ExcelWorking knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid and HeavyJob is considered a plusBenefitsBase salary ranging from $130,000 to $180,000, depending on experienceCompany vehicleMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matching contributionsPaid vacation and company holidaysLong-term advancement opportunities with an industry-leading heavy civil contractorOpportunity to contribute to some of Kentucky's most significant site development and infrastructure projects
