Estimator / Project Manager

Location: Gary, Indiana

We are working with an established general contractor in the Gary, IN area that is looking to add an Estimator / Project Manager to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a commercial construction background who can handle both preconstruction and project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for commercial construction projects.
• Review architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop project budgets.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Manage projects from initial planning through final completion.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, costs, and profitability.
• Manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project documentation.
• Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and/or project management.
• Experience with commercial general contracting projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, subcontractor buyout, and project execution.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
