Client:

A well-established Pittsburgh General Contractor delivering complex commercial and institutional construction projects. The company is looking for a versatile construction professional who can bridge preconstruction and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Support estimating and preconstruction activities from early planning through project award
• Perform quantity takeoffs, pricing, subcontractor solicitation, and bid analysis
• Support the preconstruction and delivery of an approximately $30M institutional project
• Transition into an on-site project engineering role as the project moves into construction
• Coordinate with subcontractors, project management, field teams, and other project stakeholders
• Review drawings and specifications to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and constructability concerns
• Support project documentation, coordination, and day-to-day project management activities
• Assist with document QA/QC and design coordination during preconstruction
• Utilize BIM and model-based coordination to identify potential project issues
• Support estimating and operations teams with technical and design coordination
• Help improve the use of construction technology throughout preconstruction and project delivery

Requirements:

• Approximately 5 to 7 years of commercial construction experience
• Experience within estimating, preconstruction, project engineering, project management, or a combination of these areas
• Strong ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Experience supporting complex commercial or institutional construction projects
• Previous exposure to both preconstruction and field/operations environments strongly preferred
• Experience with ConstructConnect SmartBid, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, and/or Sage is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with subcontractors and project teams
• Ability to work on-site in the Pittsburgh market as the project moves into construction
