Concrete Estimator
Bradley Concrete is a commercial concrete contractor serving over 40 general contractors in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We specialize in structural and site concrete, as well as associated work.
Concrete Estimator Responsibilities:
- Identify and comprehend concrete scopes within drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Use current technologies to take-off and compile quantity totals.
- Track all bids and opportunities in Building Connected.
- Determine labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors required for various concrete scopes.
- Collaborate with operations teams to get buy-in on approach, means, and methods.
- Develop trusting relationships with clients to build mutual respect and future business.
- Develop, organize, and produce proposals and bid scopes.
- Follow up with clients on results.
- Plan and strategize with management to successfully negotiate contracts.
- Assist project management in tracking costs, acquiring change orders, and estimating extra work throughout the project.
- Acquire and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships for assisting with estimates.
- Understand subcontractor bidding risks and exercise best bidding practices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Established estimator with a minimum of 8 years experience in the construction industry.
- Minimum bachelor's degree (B.A) in Construction Mgmt. or related field.
- Proficient in related technologies including take-off software and estimating programs.
- Develop trusting relationships with GC's and vendors.
- Math skills and data analysis, evaluate and interpret data to prepare an accurate and competitive bid.
Starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $125,000 and $150,000. Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your recruiter can share additional details during the interview process.
