Estimator

Client is seeking an Estimator with 2-3 years of construction estimating experience to support preconstruction and bidding efforts. This role offers strong growth potential, including a path to become Director of Estimating within 5-10 years. Candidates should have strong character, attention to detail, and a desire to lead.

Description

• Prepare accurate conceptual, budgetary, and hard-bid estimates for commercial, institutional, healthcare, and public-sector construction projects.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and scope reviews from drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure complete and competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, field operations, clients, architects, and consultants throughout the preconstruction process.
• Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality and schedule objectives.
• Develop bid packages, assemble comprehensive project estimates, and support proposal and presentation efforts.
• Assist in building and maintaining relationships with clients, trade partners, and industry stakeholders while contributing to the continued growth of the preconstruction department.

Profile

• Brings experience in preconstruction and estimating across commercial, healthcare, education and municipal sectors
• Expereince as a full estimator supporting estimating departments
• Proven ability to collaborate with project managers, field staff, and executives
• Comfortable using industry-standard tools and systems
• Demonstrates strong communication, leadership, and a commitment to quality and schedule adherence
• Aligns with company values of professionalism, transparency, and strategic project selection
• Motivated to contribute to the growth of the Indianapolis office and take on long-term leadership responsibilities

Job Offer

• Base salary up to $110K
• Opportunity to grow into the Director of Estimating
