Estimator II | Concrete Rehab and Coatings | High Point, NC
RDM Recruiting is partnering with a growing water infrastructure contractor to hire an Estimator II for their High Point office. This is a chance to own your bids from start to finish with a team that respects your time and rewards your results.
About the role
You’ll price concrete rehabilitation and protective coatings work on water infrastructure projects ranging from $100K to $2M. The work is a mix of public hard bid and negotiated projects, including early budgeting for municipalities and contractors. You’ll manage roughly 5 to 15 opportunities a month and own each one from takeoff through submission.
What you’ll do
- Perform quantity takeoffs in Bluebeam and build detailed estimates for concrete repair and coatings scopes
- Review plans, specifications, and addenda to identify scope, risk, and compliance requirements
- Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Prepare budget pricing for owners and contractors on negotiated work
- Participate in weekly estimating meetings and coordinate with operations and business development
- Support the transition to a new estimating software platform
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years of estimating experience in concrete repair, restoration, waterproofing, industrial or protective coatings, or water and wastewater construction
- Experience with hard bid work
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ownership of deadlines
- AMPP, NACE, or SSPC certifications are a plus
- Candidates with strong field, inspection, or project management backgrounds who want to move into estimating are encouraged to apply. Training is provided.
