JOB SUMMARY:

The Estimator prepares accurate construction cost estimates, evaluates bids, identifies risks, and supports project teams in delivering competitive pricing and successful outcomes

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strong analytical and numerical skills for accurate preliminary cost estimation and budgets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to interact with clients and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
• Analyze architectural drawings, project plans, and specifications to develop detailed budgets and identify cost uncertainties, ensuring each budget reflects anticipated costs and risks. 
• Prepare and submit preliminary estimates for client proposals, participate in tender reviews, manage pre-qualifications and pre-bid submissions, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed before deadlines.
• Collaboration and coordination working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to gather accurate information.
•  Conduct site visits, review subcontractor bids, and negotiate with subcontractors to achieve cost- effective solutions.
•  Project monitoring and reporting. Track changes in project plans, update budgets accordingly, and report regularly to management on project status. 
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices
•  Stay up-to-date with construction trends, new materials, and estimating technologies is essential. 
• Apply the knowledge to maintain competitive pricing and improve estimation processes

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

•    Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
•     Five years of experience in estimating
•     Project management skills and attention to detail to oversee complex projects and ensure accurate bid submissions.

WORK ELIGIBILITY:

•      Must be legally eligible to work in the USA without Visa sponsorship

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Onsite. Hours are 40/week plus. Schedule is determined by Manager
