We are partnering with a global engineering business with a strong reputation across semiconductor, advanced technology and mission-critical construction. As the company continues to expand its data center portfolio, they are looking to appoint an Estimating Manager to support major hyperscale and mission-critical projects from early pursuit through preconstruction and award.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead estimating activities for large-scale data center and mission-critical projects
- Develop conceptual, schematic and detailed estimates from early-stage design through GMP and final pricing
- Manage quantity take-offs, subcontractor pricing, bid leveling and scope reviews
- Partner with operations, procurement and design teams to identify cost, schedule and constructability risks
- Support RFPs, pursuits, bid strategy and client presentations
- Develop benchmarking, historical cost data and estimating standards
- Review subcontractor proposals and negotiate pricing, scope and commercial terms
- Provide senior leadership with accurate cost forecasts and commercial insight
- Mentor and develop estimators within the team
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience within commercial construction, EPC or mission critical
- Strong data center, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing or high-tech project experience
- Proven experience estimating large, technically complex projects
- Strong knowledge of MEP, electrical and mission-critical systems
- Experience managing subcontractor bids, cost models and procurement strategy
- Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and clients
- Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail
