The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 6 years of experience in estate planning, tax structuring, and wealth preservation strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on estate, gift, income, and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies
- Draft and review sophisticated estate planning documents, including irrevocable trusts, GRATs, IDGTs, FLPs, and charitable trusts
- Develop and implement wealth transfer strategies for high-net-worth individuals and family offices
- Provide legal guidance on tax-efficient succession planning for family-owned businesses
- Support the firm's fiduciary administration practice as needed, including probate and trust administration
- Collaborate with other attorneys in tax, corporate, and real estate practice groups
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax laws affecting estate planning
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar (preferably (insert state))
- 3-6 years of experience in estate planning and transfer tax law at a law firm or boutique estate planning practice
- LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required
- Deep understanding of federal income and transfer tax rules applicable to individuals, trusts, and estates
- Demonstrated excellence in drafting complex estate planning instruments
- Strong interpersonal and client-relations skills, with a high degree of professionalism
- Exceptional analytical, research, and written communication abilities
