Substitute Clerical PersonnelUnder the direction of the Principal and other Administrative Staff, ESS Substitute Clerk Typists performs general clerical work of average difficulty involving standardized procedures. Must be able to effectively operate modern office machines, have computer input skills, data processing procedures and have effective telephone communication skills.Education: Equivalent to graduation from high schoolExperience: Computer knowledge is required. Attendance procedures and activities are highly desirable.Qualification Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentTuberculosis (TB) TestDepartment of Justice Background CheckEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Work at the front office of a school siteMake and answer telephone calls and direct them to the proper individuals in a timely mannerRecord attendance dataType, update, print, and separate various reports, forms, notices and correspondence accordinglyReadmittance cards for students who are returning from absence, ensuring properly posted and maintained for correct input into the computerEnsure students who are requesting approval to leave early will have been checked by telephone verification and/or emergency card information prior to departure.
