Paraprofessional
This position is a classified role that supports the instructional success of students with disabilities through small group instruction, monitoring, behavior interventions, and supporting adaptive skills. This position provides support for special education students within the classroom through a variety of strategies under the supervision of a highly qualified teacher and the students' case manager.
Representative duties and responsibilities include carrying out small group lesson plans, working on individual education plans, communicating with teachers and students, learning to use equipment to help students access the curriculum, accepting training to support student needs, and maintaining a professional attitude towards the public and colleagues.
The paraprofessional will also support students with behavior, academic, sensory or adaptive skills in various settings, complete other duties as assigned, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
