ESL Teacher (.5FTE) West Springfield Public Schools Responsibilities: - Provide systematic, explicit, and sustained language instruction to ELs. - Utilize WIDA Can-Do's to address academic & linguistic skills and vocabulary needs to accelerate language in each of the domains. - Collaborate with SCI (Sheltered Content Instructors) to focus on academic & linguistic support needs in the classroom. - Administer progress-monitoring assessments. - Review data to determine learning goals for SSPs. - Complete WIDA report cards. - Maintain EL caseload (data, progress, SSPs) in Ellevation. - Support the implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics. - Provide updates to families on curriculum and strategies of support for learners at school and home. Salary: Per Unit A Contract (salary range:$53,939 - $102,056)
