Escrow OfficerThe Escrow Officer is primarily responsible for performing tasks related to settlement operations in the closing of real estate transactions. Acts as liaison between all parties to the transaction including homebuyer, seller, mortgage, accounting and other areas within the Title & Escrow Process.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesHandle all aspects of the settlement transactions including preparation and approval of Settlement Statements, preparation and coordination of deeds, verify accuracy of loan documents, insurance documentation, seller statements, and contract or sales agreement.Obtain signatures for closing transactions, explain all documents executed as needed, and facilitate questions/answers between parties to the transaction.Follow Escrow Accounting Business Practice Guidelines which includes but is not limited to collection and disbursement of funds while complying with required State and Federal Good Funds statutes.Review escrow quality assurance reports and resolve any outstanding issues to ensure compliance with required business policy.Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation from settlement team to Recording and Accounting DepartmentsCorrect and resolve any post-closing issues that arise.Ensure adherence to workflow processes.Required Education/ExperienceMinimum High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1-3 years Escrow Officer/Assistant Escrow Officer experienceRequired Licensing, Registration and/or CertificationsLicensing requirements as required by State/Federal AgenciesNotary Public license requirements as required by StateRequired Skills/KnowledgeCustomer service skills with experience engaging with diverse homebuyer demographics.Ability to multi-task and handle fast paced and demanding work environmentEffective follow up skills and attention to detailAbility to adjust well to changeAbility to collaborate effectively across dispersed teams in multiple locations.Effective communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.Experience with OneNote and SoftPro is a plusDemonstrates effective collaboration skills to promote teamwork and communication among various departments and stakeholders.Demonstrates proactive initiative and self-motivation to drive tasks and projects forward independently.Exhibits exceptional time management and prioritization skills to efficiently meet deadlines and optimize task workflows.Additional InformationThis position is 100% in office Monday - Friday in Riverview, FL.
