Escrow OfficerThe Escrow Officer is responsible for managing residential and/or commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing. This role serves as the primary point of contact for buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and other parties, ensuring accurate documentation, compliance with regulations, and timely closings.Key ResponsibilitiesOpen escrow files and review purchase contracts and closing instructionsPrepare and review closing disclosures, settlement statements, and escrow documentsCoordinate with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, and title examiners throughout the transaction processOrder payoffs, HOA estoppels, surveys, and other required closing documentationEnsure all file documentation meets regulatory and underwriting guidelinesBalance escrow files and verify accuracy of financial figures prior to closingConduct closings and explain settlement documents to all partiesDisburse funds and finalize transactions in accordance with company and state regulationsMaintain strong communication with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth closingsResolve transaction issues and provide solutions to keep files on scheduleQualifications2+ years of escrow, title, or real estate closing experience preferredStrong understanding of real estate closing procedures and title insurance processesExperience preparing settlement statements and closing disclosuresKnowledge of state and federal closing regulationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent customer service and communication skillsProficiency in escrow and title software systems is preferred
