Position: ERP Quality Engineer
Responsible for supporting product quality and manufacturing operations through dimensional and material inspection, quality analysis, and ERP-based inspection traceability in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform dimensional and material inspections to verify product conformity with applicable engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and product specifications and conduct precision dimensional inspections using applicable measuring and inspection equipment.
• Perform and evaluate hardness testing, heat-treatment verification, metallographic analysis, and other material inspections to assess material characteristics and product conformity.
• Analyze inspection findings to identify quality deviations and support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, sorting activities, product disposition, and rework decisions.
• Maintain accurate and traceable inspection results and related quality information through ERP and other manufacturing quality systems.
• Utilize ERP, BOM, MES, and related manufacturing information to connect inspection results with applicable product and quality records.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, suppliers, and other relevant personnel to investigate and resolve quality issues affecting manufactured components.
• Support new product introductions and production ramp-up by establishing and applying inspection standards and verifying product conformity.
• Participate in quality and inspection process improvements focused on inspection efficiency, defect reduction, and process standardization.
• Support the implementation and improvement of inspection methods, equipment, and quality-control processes.
Requirements
• Associate’s degree or higher in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality control, dimensional inspection, material evaluation, and engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with precision measurement and material testing methods used in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ERP, MES, BOM, or other manufacturing and quality information systems preferred.
• Experience in automotive or other precision manufacturing quality operations preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and evaluate product quality issues.
• Ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, suppliers, and other cross-functional personnel in a manufacturing environment.
