ERISA/Tax Corporate Counsel

Attorney With LL.M In Taxation

Back Bay Staffing Group's global client is seeking an attorney with an LL.M in taxation. The attorney will primarily be responsible for ERISA/Tax compliance on a variety of qualified welfare and pension plans. This attorney will also support other ERISA/Tax group lawyers with all aspects of the ERISA/Tax practice. Technical knowledge of federal and state tax law will be required as well as the ability to research, understand and apply those laws and rules in a practical manner to assist in meeting the department's objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Admission to NY or NC Bar
• 5-7 years of significant experience working on U.S. tax and ERISA issues in the employee benefits area (i.e. pension and welfare benefit plans, life, disability insurance, VEBAs, tax reporting/withholding)

Preferred Qualifications:

• LL.M. in tax or international law is strongly preferred
• Experience handling IRS audits and resolving audit issues
