The Analyst will contribute to the team's coverage of the Financials sector, broadly defined to include Digital Assets, Alternative Asset Managers, Payments, and Fintech Software, while also supporting firm-wide investment research initiatives. The Analyst will take full ownership of their coverage universe and will have direct exposure to the Portfolio Management team – including developing and pitching new ideas to the group.This is a hybrid position: minimum 4 days in office.Primary ResponsibilitiesConduct fundamental equity research on companies within the Financials sector, including Digital Assets, Alternative Asset Managers, Payments, Banks, and Fintech SoftwareMaintain detailed financial models and valuation analysesPrepare investment research reports, stock pitches, and sector updates for the portfolio management teamMonitor portfolio holdings, industry developments, earnings releases, and regulatory changes across covered sectorsSynthesize information from earnings calls, SEC filings, expert network interviews, and industry conferencesCollaborate with portfolio managers and fellow analysts to generate and refine investment ideasPresent investment recommendations and sector updates to the broader investment teamSupport ad hoc research projects across the firm as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree required, concentration in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field preferred3+ years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or a related investment role (buy-side or sell-side)Strong fundamental research skills and a willingness to develop sector expertise are what matter mostStrong financial modeling and valuation skills (comparable company analysis, sum-of-the-parts)Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Excel, Bloomberg/FactSet, and financial databasesStrong use of AI tools and excited about incorporating AI into the investment research processProgress toward CFA designation is a plus but not requiredIntellectually curious, self-directed, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentAttention to detail with a strong sense of ownership over work productThe annualized "all-in" compensation range for this role is expected to be between $175,000-$225,000. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set.
The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
