Equity Analyst – Information Technology
Location: New York, NY
Level: Assistant Vice President
Base Salary: $155,000–$175,000 base salary + discretionary bonus and benefits.
A global asset management firm is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to join its U.S. Equity team in New York. The role will focus primarily on the Information Technology sector and support fundamental research and investment recommendations for U.S. equities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental research on U.S. technology companies
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and earnings forecasts
- Analyze quarterly results, SEC filings, company guidance and industry trends
- Perform valuation and scenario analysis
- Develop investment theses, target prices and stock recommendations
- Identify new investment opportunities
- Present research and investment views to portfolio managers
- Work closely with senior analysts and global investment teams
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of equity research, investment management or similar experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. public equities
- Experience covering technology/IT companies strongly preferred
- Strong financial modeling, accounting and valuation skills
- Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet or similar platforms
- Advanced Excel skills
- Python or SQL experience is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- CFA or progress toward CFA preferred, but not required
