We are seeking an Equipment Operator to support aerial and underground fiber-construction projects. This role operates heavy equipment, assists field crews, performs routine equipment checks, and helps ensure safe and efficient job-site operations. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, and travel to job sites—including overnight out-of-town assignments—is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, trenchers, skid steers, and rock saws
* Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation
* Assist crews with groundwork and installation tasks
* Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
* Follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness of underground and overhead utilities
* Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials
* Work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions
* Travel to job sites, including overnight out-of-town assignments; overtime may be required
* Participate in required training and perform traffic control as needed
