Equipment Engineer Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Studies equipment performance reliability and maintains equipmentDrive cost of ownership to optimized performanceOversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipmentResponsible for evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company productsKeeps current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issuesWork with equipment vendors to sustain and enhance equipment performance from a tool standpointUse data to make intelligent improvements to overall equipment performanceCompiles and evaluates data to determine appropriate limits and variables for equipment specificationsProvides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizationsProvide technical support to indirect technicians, and technical support to operations team through definition of operation specifications and training aidsEstablishes action plans, programs, and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing processDefines and writes preventative maintenance schedulesProject management that results in the timely execution of continuous improvement actions that resolve issues impacting fab performance metricsSupport teams in addressing fab projects such as safety, quality, equipment availability or efficiencyProvide progress reports on tools, processes, and goalsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degreeMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in a Semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment EngineerPreferred Qualifications:Equipment experience with AMAT Centura RTP Mod1, Mod2, and/or TEL Furnaces 8S, Alpha 8SE, etc.Prior experience with Thermal Annealing, Thermal Processing, or Low Pressure Chemical Vapor DepositionEquipment experience on other equipment (e.g., AMAT, TEL, and/or ASM)Experience on tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentationWorking knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, and SPC techniquesExperienced with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviorsStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project deliveryAbility to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environmentDemonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationshipAbout UsWhy TI?Engineer your future.
