Internship Overview

Massachusetts Equine Clinic is a four‑doctor, full‑service equine ambulatory practice located in New England. The internship runs from June 1, 2027 to May 31, 2028.

Internship Program

Our program provides a comprehensive experience in equine veterinary medicine, building clinical expertise and confidence.

Hands‑on Experience & Responsibilities

• Wellness and preventative care
• Sports medicine and lameness
• Emergency medicine and wound management
• Field surgery and anesthesia
• Infectious disease management
• Client communication and practice management

Additional learning includes advanced diagnostic tools (digital radiography, ultrasounds, gastroscopes), therapies such as Pro‑Stride, IRAP, and Alpha 2EQ, and essential skills like power‑floating, suturing lacerations, colic workups, and diagnosing and treating lameness and complex medical cases.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $45,000 per year (may vary based on experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, and internal equity).
