Equine Farm Underwriter

To implement and grow a profitable book of farm property and liability insurance in the Equine segment, the full-time AVP Underwriter will manage risk submissions, oversee an underwriting team, and ensure exemplary customer service for broker partners, with options for remote work available. Key responsibilities Review new risk submissions, renewals, and endorsement requests within underwriting guidelines Manage and develop the underwriting team as the business expands Communicate effectively with broker partners to foster relationships and encourage targeted business submissions Required qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required 10+ years of experience in equine farm underwriting required 5+ years of management experience preferred AFIS or CPCU designation desired In-depth knowledge of rating, forms, and underwriting requirements
