The Department of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC is seeking a faculty member to join its Division of Epilepsy. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing comprehensive care to adult patients with drug-resistant epilepsy within a nationally recognized level 4 epilepsy center. This position offers an academic appointment, collaborative multidisciplinary environment, and opportunities for clinical care, education, and research.
Practice Info
- Epilepsy division within the Department of Neurology featuring 12 adult epileptologist physicians, 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and 8 fellows each year
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of neurophysiologists, neurologists, dedicated neuroradiologist and psychiatrist, neuropsychologists, neuropsychiatrists, EEG technologists, APPs, epilepsy nurses and social workers
- New 10-bed, self-contained adult EMU slated to open in early 2025
- University of Pittsburgh Comprehensive Epilepsy Center (UPCEC) is accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) as a level 4 epilepsy center
- Clinical services span outpatient clinics, EEG and continuous video-EEG monitoring across the UPMC network, and subspecialty clinics in functional seizures, RNS, women’s epilepsy, and multi-disciplinary clinic with neurosurgery for epilepsy surgery candidates

Requirements
- Must have completed at least two years of epilepsy fellowship
- Must have significant experience in adult patients, including those with drug-resistant epilepsy
- Must have an MD or equivalent
- Board certified in Neurology and Epilepsy
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license
- Prior experience or a primary interest in education or genetics / clinical trials is encouraged but not required
- Open to visa sponsorship
