Northwell Health's Department of Neurology - Epilepsy Division, the largest epileptologist program in the nation, is seeking full-time BC/BE Epilepsy Physicians to join their multi-disciplinary team. This role offers opportunities across multiple locations in New York, including Manhattan, Nassau County, Staten Island, and Westchester. The position focuses solely on epilepsy, with no general neurology expectations, and provides a chance to contribute to research initiatives within a growing neurological service line.

  • Opportunities available at multiple locations: Manhattan (Lenox Hill Hospital), Nassau County (North Shore University Hospital), Staten Island (Staten Island University Hospital), and Westchester (Northern Westchester Hospital).
  • The Epilepsy program includes hospitals with Level 4 NAEC center accreditations (North Shore University Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital) and Level 3 NAEC center accreditations (South Shore University Hospital and Staten Island University Hospital).
  • Interdisciplinary team consists of specialty-trained epilepsy neurologists and epileptologists, neurosurgeons, nurses and nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, and electroencephalogram (EEG) technicians.
  • Utilizes advanced treatments for evaluating epilepsy, preventing seizures, and treating comorbidities.
  • Connect with a large group of neurologists, academic, teaching, world-class grand rounds, conferences, and the ability to discuss and share cases with experts in every subspecialty.

Compensation

  • Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000.

Requirements

  • MD Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or equivalent).
  • Completion of Neurology Residency and Epilepsy Fellowship.
  • Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy.
  • Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
