Epileptologist

Northwell Health's Department of Neurology - Epilepsy Division is seeking full-time BC/BE epilepsy physicians to join their multi-disciplinary team with opportunities available across multiple New York hospital locations. This role offers the chance to provide state-of-the-art care using advanced treatments for evaluating epilepsy and preventing seizures, with no general neurology expectations. Clinicians will work alongside nationally recognized experts and contribute to research initiatives within a rapidly growing neurology program.

Practice Info

• Opportunities available at Manhattan (Lenox Hill Hospital), Nassau County (North Shore University Hospital), Staten Island (Staten Island University Hospital), and Westchester (Northern Westchester Hospital)
• Includes hospitals with Level 4 and Level 3 NAEC center accreditations
• Interdisciplinary team consists of specialty-trained epilepsy neurologists and epileptologists, neurosurgeons, nurses and nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, and electroencephalogram (EEG) technicians
• Affiliated with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell

Responsibilities

• Evaluate epilepsy, prevent seizures, and treat comorbidities affecting individuals with epilepsy
• Contribute to research initiatives

Compensation

• Full-time clinical base compensation ranges from $125K to $750K, impacted by various factors including physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience, and productivity

Requirements

• M.D. Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or equivalent)
• Completion of Neurology Residency and Epilepsy Fellowship
• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York
