Epileptologist

Northwell Health is seeking BC/BE Epileptologists to join its expanding Department of Neurology, Epilepsy Division, the largest epileptologist program in the nation. This full-time position offers opportunities across multiple locations in New York, including Manhattan, Nassau County, Staten Island, and Westchester. The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to provide advanced treatments for epilepsy, with no general neurology expectations.

• Opportunities available at Lenox Hill Hospital (Manhattan), North Shore University Hospital (Manhasset), Staten Island University Hospital (Staten Island), and Northern Westchester Hospital (Westchester).
• The Epilepsy program includes two Level 4 NAEC center accredited hospitals (North Shore University Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital) and two Level 3 NAEC center accredited hospitals (South Shore University Hospital and Staten Island University Hospital).
• Work within an interdisciplinary team of nationally recognized experts including specialty-trained epilepsy neurologists and epileptologists, neurosurgeons, nurses, nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, and EEG technicians.
• The Department of Neurology collaborates with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell for state-of-the-art care and research initiatives.
• No general neurology expectations for this role.

Compensation

• Competitive salaries with annual incentive compensation bonus
• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000, impacted by various factors including physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience, and productivity.

Requirements

• D. Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or equivalent)
• Completion of Neurology Residency and Epilepsy Fellowship
• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York
