Epileptologist

Northwell Health's Department of Neurology - Epilepsy Division, the nation's largest epileptologist program, is expanding its neurological services and seeking full-time BC/BE Epilepsy Physicians. This role offers the opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team at various locations across the Northwell Health System, including Manhattan, Nassau County, Staten Island, and Westchester. Physicians will contribute to state-of-the-art care, research initiatives, and benefit from inclusion within a large network of neurology experts.

Practice Info

• Northwell Health's Epilepsy program includes two hospitals with Level 4 NAEC center accreditations (North Shore University Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital) and two hospitals with Level 3 NAEC center accreditations (South Shore University Hospital and Staten Island University Hospital).
• The Department of Neurology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years across all regions.
• The interdisciplinary team consists of specialty-trained epilepsy neurologists and epileptologists, neurosurgeons, nurses and nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, and electroencephalogram (EEG) technicians.
• The practice uses advanced treatments for evaluating epilepsy, preventing seizures, and treating comorbidities.
• There are no general neurology expectations for this role.

Compensation

• Competitive salaries with annual incentive compensation bonus
• Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience, and productivity.

Requirements

• D. Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or equivalent)
• Completion of Neurology Residency and Epilepsy Fellowship
• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York
