We are seeking an Epidemiologist to support overdose surveillance, data analysis, and statewide overdose prevention initiatives. The candidate will facilitate a multidisciplinary working group, build partnerships, analyze health data, and develop dashboards and visualizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate monthly overdose working group meetings.
- Prepare meeting agendas, reminders, and notes.
- Coordinate presentations, partner updates, and group discussions.
- Recruit and engage new partners and stakeholders.
- Build relationships with public health agencies and community partners.
- Maintain a shared hub for meeting materials and resources.
- Support planning and coordination of an annual in-person meeting.
- Create and maintain dashboards and data visualizations.
- Analyze large datasets and identify emerging trends.
- Document processes and methodologies.
- Manage multiple projects and work independently.
Qualifications
- MPH or PhD preferred.
- Experience in public health, epidemiology, overdose surveillance, or health data analysis.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience facilitating large-group meetings.
- Proficiency in R, SAS, or SQL .
- Experience with Tableau, R, or other data visualization tools .
- Experience working with large datasets and creating dashboards or visualizations.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
