Role overview
This position serves as a county epidemiologist for the Florida Department of Health in Nassau County, responsible for communicating disease investigations, outbreak coordination, and epidemiological surveillance. The role involves investigating suspected disease outbreaks, analyzing health data, conducting public health surveillance, and coordinating with community facilities to prevent and control disease transmission.
Key qualifications
- Knowledge of epidemiological principles, methods and advanced statistical models
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze statistical data
- Ability to conduct epidemiologic investigations and health surveillance
- Valid Driver's License
- Master of Public Health degree (preferred)
- 2+ years professional experience in epidemiologic investigations or public health data analysis (preferred)
