This role is vital for ensuring accurate patient billing, claims processing, and reimbursement for services provided by individual healthcare providers such as doctors and therapists.This position requires being onsite five days per week during training. After training, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule with Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays onsite in Hicksville or Garden City, NY.ResponsibilitiesConfigure and customize the Epic Professional Billing application to meet business needs and workflowsMaintain and support the Resolute Professional Billing module, including charges, benefit engines, and collection agency workflowsPerform ongoing system maintenance, updates, and testing of system changes before migrating to productionAnalyze financial workflows and recommend process improvements to increase efficiencyCollaborate with IT, finance, and operational stakeholders to align Epic workflows with business needsServe as the primary support contact for Epic Professional Billing end-users, including troubleshooting billing and reimbursement issuesProvide training, education, and procedural documentation for system usersEnsure compliance with industry standards, coding updates, and system upgrades with each Epic releaseQualificationsBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldCurrent certification in Epic Professional BillingMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Epic Professional Billing, including charge router, work queue configuration, collection agency workflows, statement processing, benefit engine, and estimatesProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes, medical billing codes, and insurance proceduresFamiliarity with professional billing vs.
