Operational Database AdministratorThe Operational Database Administrator is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining the Operational Database (ODB) environments that support production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs. This role involves installing and managing administrative and monitoring tools to ensure high availability and performance of the Epic system. The administrator will regularly assess performance metrics, monitor system health, and troubleshoot any issues to optimize database efficiency.

Additionally, the role includes managing user logins and access configurations, applying IRIS and Epic updates and upgrades across production and non-production environments, and configuring environment copies based on strategic needs. The DBA will also participate in capacity planning to ensure sufficient system resources, respond to emergency or after-hours issues, and collaborate with technical teams and Epic for proactive support. Other responsibilities include writing and maintaining automation scripts, participating in change control processes, maintaining business continuity plans, and ensuring compliance with Epic and vendor best practices for hardware and software configurations.

This position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to handle critical database issues, and a deep understanding of Epic system management and database administration.
