Epic Beaker | WellSky Transfusion | Data Innovations Senior Analyst / Lead

Location: Remote


Are you an experienced Epic Beaker professional with expertise in Blood Bank, Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), and Instrument Middleware Integration? We are seeking a Senior Analyst / Lead to drive laboratory technology solutions, optimize diagnostic workflows, and support critical patient care operations across Clinical Pathology, Anatomic Pathology, and Transfusion Services.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Serve as the primary liaison between Laboratory Leadership, Pathologists, Blood Bank teams, and technical stakeholders.

✅ Lead design, build, testing, and support of:

  • Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP)
  • Epic Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP)
  • WellSky Transfusion (SoftBank/Mediware)
  • Data Innovations Instrument Manager

✅ Configure and optimize:

  • Test catalogs, specimen workflows, accessioning, result reporting
  • Auto-verification rules and reflex testing logic
  • Blood product tracking and transfusion workflows
  • Analyzer and instrument interfaces
  • HL7 and middleware integrations

✅ Manage integrations with:

  • Reference laboratories (Quest, LabCorp)
  • Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) systems
  • Epic Rover and Order Transmittal (OTx)
  • ClinDoc, ASAP, OpTime, Orders, and Revenue Cycle modules

✅ Partner with offshore and onshore teams to deliver scalable, compliant laboratory solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Epic Beaker CP/AP
  • Expertise in WellSky Transfusion (SoftBank/Mediware)
  • Experience with Data Innovations Instrument Manager
  • Deep understanding of laboratory workflows, blood bank operations, and instrument connectivity
  • Knowledge of HL7 interfaces, middleware, and laboratory integrations
  • Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards including CAP, AABB, CLIA, and FDA
  • Experience working directly with Pathologists, Laboratory Directors, and Clinical Operations teams

Preferred

  • Epic Beaker Certifications (CP and/or AP)
  • Healthcare IT consulting or implementation experience
  • Experience supporting large hospital systems, academic medical centers, or integrated health networks
