Environmental Service Aide

• Performs general and aseptic cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms
• Uses appropriate cleaning supplies and chemicals according to departmental procedures
• Cleans and prepares patient rooms, beds, stretchers, and other assigned areas
• Scrubs, mops, and buffs floors
• Cleans sinks in kitchen and dining area and removes trash from areas
• Maintains assigned area in a neat, clean, and sanitary condition

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred
• Three to six months of experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting preferred

Demonstrates expertise in general and aseptic cleaning practices, ensuring patient rooms and assigned areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Familiar with the use of appropriate cleaning supplies and chemicals in a healthcare environment.
