Responsibilities
- Manage staff, including hiring, training, development, engagement, performance evaluation, and compensation recommendations
- Implement and manage quality processes, audits, and continuous improvement programs
- Provide input on the development and improvement of policies and procedures
- Advise leadership on quality-related matters
- Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate communication
- Resolve escalated quality issues and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies
- Manage departmental budgets, including resource allocation
- Lead or participate in special projects
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of quality regulations and industry trends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field
- Three (3) years of quality experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of quality systems and operations
- Ability to manage and administer comprehensive quality programs
- Skills in leading, coaching, and evaluating employees
- Effective interaction with diverse individuals, including challenging situations
- Proficiency in report writing and business communication
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and standards
