Responsibilities include preparing planning/design documents in appropriate engineering discipline, coordinating work of assistant, associate professional staff and technical staff, performing process design calculations, preparing cost estimates, and using economic analyses for comparison of alternatives.
The role also involves developing project scope of work, developing project schedule, preparing project initiation paperwork, managing budget reviews and schedule progress reports, coordinating projects with other teams, performing/coordinating design aspects of projects, directing team members on design tasks, maintaining project records (correspondence, drawings, and files), coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, managing the preparation of technical reports, memos, and summaries to effectively communicate findings to clients/internal teams, serving as project manager, ensuring project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations, and assisting with marketing/business development and preparing project proposals.Requirements include a Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental or civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, 5+ years of relevant environmental or civil engineering experience, specifically with water/wastewater treatment or environmental design, PE License, proficiency with engineering tools, software, and methodologies, and strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
