Job Overview
Requirement/Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of equivalent experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or applicable environmental certification preferred.
- Prior experience supporting semiconductor projects in Arizona.
- Prior experience supporting permitting and regulatory approvals on semiconductor or large industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience obtaining, managing, and tracking permits with municipal, state, and federal agencies.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, construction permitting, utility approvals, building codes, and fire code requirements.
- Experience coordinating across Engineering, Construction, ES&H, organization, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project permitting strategies, permit matrices, schedules, and compliance tracking tools.
- Identify required environmental, utility, building, fire, hazardous materials, wastewater, and construction permits for semiconductor projects.
- Coordinate permitting activities between the organization, Engineering, Construction, ES&H, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Serve as the primary interface with AHJs to support permit reviews, inspections, approvals, and closeout activities.
- Evaluate permit requirements, identify critical permitting risks and next steps, and ensure regulatory requirements are incorporated into project plans and schedules.
- Support environmental and construction permitting activities through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
