This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 4–5 years of litigation experience and a background in environmental and/or products liability litigation who is looking to work on sophisticated, high-profile matters in California.The successful candidate will have experience handling complex litigation in California state courts and will collaborate with a highly regarded team representing clients in environmental and products liability disputes.ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support litigation strategyDraft high-quality legal documents, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondenceAssist in managing complex litigation matters from inception through resolutionPrepare for and participate in court hearings, depositions, negotiations, mediations, and trialsDevelop litigation strategy through factual and legal analysisBuild and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and strategic legal counselCollaborate with attorneys and legal professionals across practice groups to achieve favorable client outcomesStay current on legal developments affecting environmental and products liability litigationParticipate in professional development, pro bono initiatives, and firm-sponsored programsQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive admission to the California Bar4–5 years of litigation experienceCalifornia state court litigation experience requiredExperience in environmental litigation and/or products liability litigationPrior law firm or government agency experience preferredExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsStrong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentSound business judgment and strong verbal and written communication skillsWork EnvironmentThis position offers a hybrid work arrangement with regular in-office collaboration and flexibility for remote work.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary of $310,000–$390,000Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planHybrid work flexibilityOpportunities for professional development and mentorshipMeaningful pro bono and community involvement opportunitiesAdditional firm-sponsored benefitsDirect Counsel is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages qualified candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
