It is not designed for graduates. Falkirk looks at this position as an opportunity to expose an Environmental Science, Wildlife, or Biology student to a varied field and office experience. At the same time Falkirk will utilize the individual time to accomplish tasks that will benefit the operation. The successful applicant will require knowledge of plant/wildlife identification and the use of taxonomic keys. They should have strong computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD are a plus).3-month position (May 2027 through August 2027)8-month position (May 2027 through December 2027)Job Description:Duties / Tasks:Duties at the surface coal mine will be wide and varied, based on needs of the operation. These duties may include all or some of the following:Vegetation assessment and mapping on reclaimed wetlands and shelterbelts.Wildlife monitoring on pre-mine and post-mine areas.
