Environmental Coordinator

Department: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

Reports To: Environmental Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Environmental Coordinator is responsible for supporting environmental compliance, regulatory reporting, and sustainability initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role partners with Operations, Maintenance, and EHS teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote continuous improvement.

Bilingual English/Spanish skills are required.

• Support environmental compliance programs and regulatory reporting.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring activities.
• Assist with waste management, recycling, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater programs.
• Maintain environmental records, permits, and training documentation.
• Conduct employee training in English and Spanish.
• Investigate environmental concerns and support corrective actions.
• Assist during regulatory inspections and agency audits.
• Promote sustainability and waste reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, EHS, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing or industrial operations preferred.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.

Working Conditions

• Combination of office and manufacturing floor environments.
• Ability to work around industrial equipment, noise, and heat.
• Ability to wear required PPE and routinely walk the facility.
