This Environmental Analyst IV position supports Vermont's Drinking Water and Groundwater Protection Division in ensuring public water systems comply with state and federal drinking water regulations. The role involves managing Lead and Copper Rule compliance, providing technical guidance to water systems across Vermont, developing regulatory resources, and helping public systems navigate new requirements taking effect November 1, 2027. This is a limited-service position funded through September 2027, based in Montpelier with a potential hybrid telework arrangement.
Key qualifications:
- Master's degree in biological-life sciences, physical science, engineering, social science, data science, or environmental/natural resources field; OR Bachelor's degree in these fields plus one year n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively
- Demonstrated customer service experience preferred
