Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager
Location: Compton, CA (100% Onsite)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager to lead and implement safety programs across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain plant safety programs and policies across multiple sites
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
• Partner with leadership and employees to promote a proactive safety culture
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and environmental risk assessments
• Track, analyze, and report safety and environmental performance metrics
• Manage workers' compensation programs, including return-to-work coordination
• Oversee PPE programs, near-miss reporting, and corrective action processes
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and all local, state, and federal regulations
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs
• Support emergency response planning and execution
• Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory records

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 5+ years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment
  OR
  Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field with 3+ years of experience
• Direct EH&S responsibility in a manufacturing setting is required
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance standards
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, and safety training
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Stable work history

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing environments
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist)
• Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Alchemy)

Work Environment

• 100% onsite role in a manufacturing setting
• Exposure to refrigerated environments (40-50°F), machinery, and moderate noise levels
• Up to 25% domestic travel required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform tasks involving bending, climbing, and reaching
