Onsite Full Time Engineering

This person will be part of our Building Envelope division and will be involve in a variety of general functions, including but not limited toManage our team of Industry Rope Access (IRA) inspectors and FISP projects; Performing periodic rope inspections should be expected as part the role and responsibility of this positionConsult on existing facade design for enhancement or maintenance type projects: forensic review and analysis, Bid Document and repair detail preparation, direct Bidding Phase, and Construction Administration. Well versed in exterior wall construction.Work with various departments on our integrated internal services (proposing writing, internal tracking of our budgetary project requirements).Communicate effectively and establish relationships with clients and job related management teams. Providing cross-functional support to ensure client needs and internal timelines/project activities are completedFamiliarity with building codes (including Energy Codes) in local marketsAdvise architects and clients on building enclosure performance, constructability, and durability.Document and maintain well written reports on project related activity.Provide successful completion and history of managing projects and deliverables.Assist with the oversight and review of Restoration Division staff's reports and progress of Projects.Assist with managing manpower and Division technical needs and initiatives.Manage staff or team and foster training\mentoringOccasional presentation of white paper\case studies to technical teams.Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or managerRegister Architect | Professional Engineer preferred.Minimum of 8 plus years working with building envelope\enclosure & restoration project experienceExperience with industrial ropeMaster's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or EngineeringKnowledge of Architectural design theories/concepts and local laws\codesAbility to read and interpret architectural drawingsStrong written and verbal communications skillsInspection certificates preferredExcellent PC computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word or suitable document writing programsMust demonstrate an ability to work in a dynamic team environment, proficient in problem solving and multi-tasking.Ability to be detail-oriented as well as see the bigger picturePerform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.SOCOTEC offers generous compensation packages including salary, benefits & bonus based upon relevant experience.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.SOCOTEC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
