Entry-Level Wire Technician
St. Louis, MO Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Competitive Pay | Potential for Full-Time Conversion
Are you mechanically inclined with basic electrical knowledge? Looking to start or grow your career in manufacturing and automation? We have a client that is expanding its manufacturing team in St. Louis and is seeking Entry-Level Wire Technicians who are eager to learn, work with their hands, and build high-quality control panels and automation equipment.
What You'll Do
As an Entry-Level Wire Technician, you'll help build and wire control panels and cabinets used in industrial automation systems. Responsibilities include:
- Wiring and assembling control panels and control cabinets
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Cutting, stripping, and terminating wires
- Installing breakers, grounding systems, and electrical components
- Assisting with panel layouts, modifications, and assembly work
- Supporting conduit and tubing installation activities
- Working with hand and power tools in a production environment
- Ensuring all completed work meets quality standards
A Typical Day
Review panel builds and wiring schematics
Perform detailed wiring and assembly work
Collaborate with team members to complete projects
Work in a clean, climate-controlled facility
Participate in quality reviews of completed panels
Continuously develop your technical skills and product knowledge
What We're Looking For
Basic electrical knowledge
Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics (required)
Understanding of electrical symbols and electrical fundamentals
Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
Beginner-level assembly experience
Ability to lift up to 49 lbs and perform physical tasks
Team-focused attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
Technical school, trade school, or electrician training
Experience with control cabinets, panel wiring, or manufacturing assembly
Electrical Engineering graduates seeking hands-on experience are encouraged to apply
Familiarity with basic NEC concepts
Work Environment
Climate-controlled manufacturing facility
Primarily seated wiring and assembly work
Onsite position, Monday-Friday
Two paid 15-minute breaks
35-minute lunch
Voluntary overtime available based on production needs
