Dewberry's Raleigh, NC office is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to support site/civil and utility engineering functions on projects throughout North Carolina. This role works in a multidisciplinary team with designers, landscape architects, and professional engineers to prepare construction drawings. Clients may include universities, local and federal government, municipalities, and private land developers.

Responsibilities

  • Civil/Site development including grading design, roadway design, stormwater management systems design, sanitary sewer design, water design, and erosion and sediment control design.
  • Collaborate with a Professional Engineer to prepare all associated drawing packages, deliverables, calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Work on design teams with other disciplines to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Maintain strong communication and technical skills using AutoCAD, Civil3D, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam.
  • Learn and apply Dewberry engineering practices, standards, and quality reviews of assigned tasks.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT required.
  • 0‑2 years of design experience related to site development projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong written communication skills – technical reports, permits, memoranda and email.
  • Effective time management to meet project budgets.
